Stories

Okay..... Sorry I haven't been writing. I got really sick this last week, and could barely get out of bed let alone on the computer.

I've been asked how Aiden broke his dresser and bed....(even though I said don't ask...lol)

The Dresser Story ~

Aiden has become quite the little monkey. When Ed got back from his deployment last February, He started playing music for Aiden while he went to sleep. (A bad habit I really didn't want to start) Well... Aiden started to love having music to sleep to, and wouldn't go to sleep unless it was playing. At first it started out any music, then a specific CD, and then a specific song. So.... one nap time... Aiden's CD started to play another song instead of the one song over and over. Being the monkey climber that he is... he decided to change it back. He climbed on top of the rocking chair arm, opened the dresser drawer and stood on the edge of the drawer. I have caught him doing this once before and thought I had solved the problem by moving the rocking chair. No... that sneaky little bugger just moved the rocker where he needed it.

Now, while all this is going on... I am downstairs cleaning or vacuuming or something, and I hear this loud crash upstairs. I think a few of you remember this day... I race upstairs to find the dresser totaled on the floor and Aiden crying standing next to it. I look at his arm and it looks like his wrist is broken. I panic. I have no car, and a child with a broken wrist. I call Ed at work. He races home. As I'm waiting for Ed to come home, I go and make an ice pack for Aiden's arm. I sit down with Aiden, and go to put the ice pack on his wrist only to find no break. I feel his arm then look at the other arm. No break... I suddenly feel really stupid. Ed pulls into the driveway as I'm walking out the door. "I'm sorry," I say..."It looked like his wrist was broken but it's not." Ed puts the car in reverse and headed back to work.

The Bed Story ~

This one is not quite as exciting as the dresser story...basically what happened was Aiden found the tools to his bed, tried to disassemble it, and lost some of the screws.

Okay so those are the stories.... Anyway, as things get back to normal here and I am getting better, I will have more to write about.
