New Year ... New Goals

2010... the year I've anticipated and dreaded. I will be turning 30 this year. Not that that is entirely a bad thing, but 30 sounds so grown up. I'm still not sure I'm ready to be a grown up. (Not that I really have a choice.)

Yes, I am married, and yes, I have kids... two boys to be exact. My oldest is going to be eight. I'm still having a hard time wrapping my head around that fact.

My youngest will be three, and is every bit of three. Bossy as all get out... I laugh at this little person who is no bigger than one of my fake plants, who acts like a mini hitler bossing everyone around without fear, and who cracks up every time I say the word "toot".

Yet, even with being a wife and mother, I still feel like I'm that 18 year old just entering into the adult world. Granted an older and wiser 18 year old, but for some reason I still associate being 30 with my mom. Not that my mom is old by any means, but you know what I mean.

Anyway, I have decided that this is my year! This is my year to do a spring cleaning of my life. I usually don't do New Year's resolutions, but I thought I would be different this year. Step out of my comfort zone, and embrace a new part of life.

My goals are seemingly simple...

1. Get Healthy
      a. Spiritually Healthy
      b. Mentally Healthy
      c. Physically Healthy
      d. Financially Healthy

2. Finish All Unfinished Projects (UFP)
(There are waaaaaaayyy too many of these to list...lol)

3. Start a Blog
(Hey check that out.... one down)

4. Make a Scrapbook

5. Go Back to School
and lastly

6. Start Writing a Book

So, with all these great goals and aspirations, why do I dread this year you ask?

Change....stepping out of your comfort zone is always a scary thing. However, I am bound and determined to end my sidetracked ways, finally finish what I start, and meet my set goals. I would like to invite you all on my journey of self discovery and fulfillment.

Hope you enjoy the ride.

That great, it sounds like you have your whole year planned with lots of things to improve yourself with. This will be fun seeing you accomplish your goals and living well. And you have a great husband that is behind you all the way. I think that it great you are thinking of writing a book. What will the book be about?

My goal for the year was to lose weight by getting down to my pre kids weight (if thats even possible). But since I found out that we are having another baby those plans had to be postponed. Still possible before the end of the year though.
